Throughout the summer, our residents at Greenlane have been making the most of the fantastic weather and spending quality time outdoors in our beautiful courtyard sensory garden.
Over the past few months, residents have enjoyed planting, nurturing and caring for a variety of fruits and vegetables, and have been delighted to see the results of their hard work. With tomatoes, strawberries and potatoes all thriving, there has been a real sense of achievement as residents watched their efforts come to fruition.
Gardening is a wonderful activity that provides many benefits for our residents. Not only does it offer gentle physical exercise, but it also supports cognitive stimulation, encourages social interaction and promotes overall wellbeing. Tending to the garden gives residents a meaningful sense of purpose and accomplishment, while allowing them to enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of nature.
We are incredibly proud of what our residents have achieved and look forward to enjoying more gardening adventures together as the seasons change.
